Dr. Kaufman is a UT Austin alum, in Plan II as an undergrad and with a
Ph.D. from the UT clinical program. She interned and trained in Boston and
established a practice there for five years before moving to Santa Fe.
There she worked in conjunction with the public schools and in community
mental health as well as private practice for eighteen years, specializing in
treatment of children, teens, families, couples and individual adults, with
particular interest in helping children and their parents to address learning
and school-related issues, including Asperger's and learning disabilities.

We are Austin psychologists, located in southwest Austin on Bee Cave Road, near Westlake, Rollingwood, and the Eanes schools. We
specialize in psychotherapy for child, teens and adults, as well as evaluation for ADHD, learning and divorce issues.


Dr. Koppell received his B.A. in Psychology from Columbia, his Ph.D. from
UC Santa Barbara, and his postdoctoral training at Boston University. He
interned as  Harvard Clinical Fellow at Boston Children's Hospital and Judge
Baker Child Guidance Center. He was an Assistant Professor at U.Mass
Medical Center, and trained at the Cambridge Family Institute before
leaving Boston to live in Santa Fe, where he worked for eighteen years in
private practice, as well as in school, hospital and community mental health
settings. His areas of specialty include child and family therapy, custody
evaluation and interventions for high-conflict divorce, and learning and
attention problems in children, adolescents and adults.
